With the Missoula Children's Theater

Dictated by: Dani

Grandpa and Grandma and I were watching a movie. The phone rang and it was a woman who told us about auditions for the Missoula Children's Theater.

We went to Colstrip Middle School for the audition. There were 86 kids and we played games. There were only 40 parts and I believed I would get one of them.

The games were all about acting. We repeated lines and used lots of emotions. They made everyone gather in a circle and called our names. I was called to play a "Winter Wind Worker."

We went to Colstrip every day for a week. We practiced when to come on stage. We practiced having loud voices.

We practiced having costumes and make up on. It was fun!

???????????????????????????????

I would love to be in another play! I met so many nice friends. Grandpa bought me a T-shirt and my friends signed their names on my back.

I hope you get to be part of a play, too, because it's lots of fun.

Dani

Have you been encouraged here today?

I’m so glad Connie called us to tell us about the auditions! It was quite an experience and I enjoyed it as much as you did.

I’m very impressed with the high quality of the Missoula Children’s Theater. They were professionals and taught the children all the basics of the theater. Best of all, they were positive and encouraging and made every child feel special.

I hope you get to be part of a play like this again, Danielle. I’m proud of you and you did a FANTASTIC job! Your smile and strong voice made a lasting impression on everyone around you.

I’m glad you also got to meet a lot of nice new friends! 🙂

I liked watching the video.  You did a great job.  I used to write operas so I know some about the theater, and my daughters were in plays every summer.  I very glad you were able to be in this play.

      HI Mr. Hendricks,

I wrote you a letter and I just kept forgetting to send it. I will get it out in the mail this week!

      Thanks for watching my video!
