I have a bunny and his name is Chedder. He is a nice, orange and gray-black color. Can you see him hiding in the tepee I made for him?
Now he just hopped on the computer!!! CHEDDER!
Anyways, I have been reading about bunnies. Here is a tip. Some pet stores have sick animals. Isn't that CRAZY! Not all, but some.
They do not take care of them when they are sick. My aunt got a bunny from a pet store. She took good care of her bunny. All the sudden her bunny died. She had the bunny for just six weeks.
She was sad, so she got on the internet and found out that the store delivers sick animals. Don't worry about your bunny if you do not know for sure. When you know, then you can worry. Just kidding. But if you are worried look on the internet on bunny care.
I would like to share some facts that I learned.
The first thing I read is about tail-wagging. It says that bunnies can wag their tail. It means that when your bunny wags their tail they are saying they do not want to go to their cage, or you can't make me, or that you are not the boss of me.
So look very close. Bunnies lick when they trust you and love you. My bunny licks non-stop. He is doing it right this minute!
Bunnies actually dance. Can you believe it? Believe it or not, bunnies can dance. They kick their heels up and make 180 degree turns in mid-air. Bunnies can make sideways kicks, head shakes, and I think that is a happy bunny!
Nipping is like a little pinch. Nipping can mean several different things. In rabbit language it means, "I want your attention now!" Or it might be your bunny is trying to groom you. I think that's pretty funny.
Don't Touch My Stuff!
Some rabbits don't like people to touch their stuff. Bunnies like their cage to always be the same.
Bunnies like to thump their hind legs. If my bunny is scared he runs and hides and then he thumps his leg to try and scare away whatever it is that scares him. Thumping his leg shows other rabbits that something scary is close.
Your bunny likes to give you this cute face. He's so darn cute, but I wouldn't give him too many treats or he can get over-weight. My bunny is trim and he loves radish leaves. That's what I learned about begging.
Did you know that when your rabbit is in his cage or on the floor hopping around, and if you pat your leg and he comes up to you. Go slow and pat him on the head. That means it's safe and he will be calm. He will totally lay down flat. That's a nice way to greet your rabbit.
I kiss him on the head after I'm done petting, and he licks me. He says, "I love you, too! Oh, more pettings, please!"
So that is all I want to say.
Bye, got to go!!
