Boy of the Painted Cave – a Book Review

Boy of the Painted Cave

Author: Justin Denzel

Book Review by Dani

Boy of the Painted Cave takes place in ancient times when people were hunters and gatherers.

The main character is Tao. Tao is a crippled boy. No one really cares about Tao except for his mother, and she is not his real mother. Usually crippled kids were left to die at birth, but Tao was rescued by a woman who raised him until one day he had to leave the tribe.

This story is about a boy with a wise mind and an interesting way of seeing things. He also has a bad limp and has a bad foot, but… he can really stumble over the rocks so fast you can not amagain how he does it!

I would like to try to be in his shoes and wounder what it is like to be him.

I learned that you should never stop trying even if some one keeps on letting you down and saying you can't do that!

I would recommend this book to a friend because this family is comforting. And it means to me to keep trying. I would like to live like this.

I give Boy of the Painted Cave 5 stars!
